Remember when you were a kid, and 2010 seemed like the distant future where everyone traded in personal style for cookie-cutter Jetson-like attire? Well, here we are, and thankfully, fashion has not lost its creative edge! Just look around - there is no denying fashion’s continued ingenuity. Springtime is all about romance, and we’ve fallen in love with the trends inspiring designers this season. Take a look at a few of our favorite trends … but remember these are always worn best when infused with a touch of your own personal style!

	I DREAM OF JEAN-Y This trend is all about denim – true denim and even other fabrications fashioned to look like denim. You’ll see denim-look linen in skirts and dresses, and even denim-look French terry in “jeggings,” which are a beautiful marriage of jeans and leggings. The denim look makes these spring fabrications more season-less, which your pocket book will love! The beauty of denim is that it goes with everything, and you can easily dress it up or down so it’s not only a great closet update, but also a prefect transitional piece between seasons.
	SAFARI SO GOOD This is a nod to safari chic wrapped up with effortlessly pretty and feminine combinations. As women, our goal when getting dressed is to look like we threw it together and just happened to look fabulous, and this trend, more than any other, really oozes uncomplicated style. It’s about taking something delicate and pretty and pairing it with something more practical like cargo pants or shorts. There is something romantic about juxtaposing feminine with rugged, and in a way, you carry yourself differently when wearing this style. 	HEAVY PETAL This trend is all about the quintessential spring fling — flowers! Painterly floral, line drawings of floral, cartoonish floral, watercolor flowers, scattered flowers, bright flowers, ikat flowers, “are those flowers?” flowers; it’s flowers everywhere! Black and white ikat floral is a contemporary spin on the traditional floral of days gone by. Mixing floral and stripes is a fresh and funky take on color blocking. Fun, retro floral prints in contemporary silhouettes beautifully update the flower power motif. Flowers add an optimistic air to any ensemble, so embrace the endless bouquet of flowery options!
	BRIGHT SPOT Play with color, and let your bright ideas abound! We love the purity of an all white ensemble, glowing like a halo, and you can even add a pop of color with an accessory like a bright necklace or socks. Pop colors like cobalt blue and coral are gorgeous anchored in white, but they also look great paired together. Don’t be afraid to color outside the lines. This is a classic look that allows you to be super creative, or simple and understated – play with it and embrace what you feel good in.
	TIPTOE THROUGH THE TUNICS Tunics are so happening and oh-so-cute! Gorgeous with skinny jeans, leggings, and even boyfriend, boot cut, or fuller jeans – tunics can be worn so many different ways and are just so fabulously flattering on every body. This season is all about playing with proportion, and a particularly savvy silhouette is that of a long tunic under a cropped or shrunken jacket. Find the perfect proportion for your shape and height, and you’ll have a little spring in your step as you tiptoe through the tunics!

The runways are showered with floral, and the options are limitless with this season’s bouquet. Adding floral to your favorite ensemble instantly lightens and brightens your look, and you can’t help but have a better day. Retro floral prints never lose their appeal, and you might even find this already blooming in your closet. Flowers are a great excuse to don bright and bold colors, so throw on a floral tunic over your favorite jeans, or a whimsical flowery skirt paired with a perfectly precious cardigan. If you love floral but shy away from bright colors, try a solid color sweater with a floral embellishment grounded over a neutral canvas like black jeggings and a black tunic. Put on those rose colored glasses and escape to a world of whimsy in your fun and flirty floral. Spring is about to bloom, so make sure to plan time to stop and smell the roses!
